- Full Time Professional ARTIST Growing up in Cranston RI, Del Ponte was always drawing and painting. After high school,he joined the US Navy. Returning from the Navy,he moved to Florida. He opened a painting business working with interior designers. These designers soon discovered his artistic ability,s and he suddenly found himself painting murals. His Trompe L'Oeil paintings graced the walls of homes from the prestigious Fisher Island to Key West and Palm Beach,FL. He has also worked on commissions all over United States,sold paintings all over the world. He has won numerous awards over the years. His work has been exhibited statewide. Recent Mural inside the Lobby of the World Famous RIVERSIDE HOTEL on Las Olas. Del Ponte's versatile mediums include oil, acrylic, and watercolor,portraiture,also street painting and performande art. In recent years he is enjoying the challenges of going outdoors on site in the elements with a blank canvas and capturing the scene in his unique style and expressionism colors.

very nice murals! I saw a mural similar to this in a restaurant in San Antonio TX. with images of all famous people. I also like your Florida scenes...in March I spent a week on the beautiful N.Captiva Island, and hope to be painting scenes from there.
